The
Agony of Redress
Honestly, we hate the protest room, where any altercation, no matter how
insignificant, or any situation, no matter how distorted, can negatively
alter the course of a regatta. In this
story, Farrah Hall wins the US Women's Olympic trials on the water,
but Nancy Rios rips a sail in the last race in some sort of starting line
crash - the circumstances of which look doubtful at best - but she still
finishes 4th. She asks for redress, gets it and is given a 2nd and so
that gives her the win, and Hall gets to go home. Seems like bullshit
to us. How
about you? 2007-10-25 Share this article: Perma Link
