Sailor Chick of the Week

Beauty and the Beast

"This little tutu-clad bit of sweetness was shot 2 days ago in Langkawi,Malaysia at the 2008 Royal Langkawi International Regatta by Capt. Marty Rijkuris, our fave SE Asian yacht racing journo (see: ).

The yacht is "Twin Sharks" and is a Thai-built Firefly cat designed by Mark Pescott. Pescott is actually helming this cat in the regatta and it looks like they've racked up enuf bullets to go home with a pickle dish. And there's quite a street fight going on in Racing Division with R/P75 "Jelik" owned/skippered by Asian yachting godfather Frank Pong scrapping it out with dk46 "Quantum Racing" owned/skippered by Aussie racing rockstar Ray Roberts.

Neil Pryde's newly Welbourne-ized Farr52 "Hi-Fi", Chris Mead's new Corby "Full Metal Jacket", and a new NYYC Swan42 from Japan named "Katsu" are some of the many other very cool entrants this year. But who cares with hotties like this on the decks of pickle forks! Ballet anyone?
