What's In A Name?
I like your site a lot and I visit it almost daily.
After reading it for several months I find that the
site name and its content do not match. I would like
to suggest a name change.
Sailing encompasses a wide variety of pursuits and
this site is primarily concerned with racing. First
change Sailing to Sail Racing. Second, Anarchy is
a philosophy of every individual doing what he wishes
and only what he wishes. The pursuit of self-interest
should not be constrained by any collective body
or public authority. I often find that the content
of this site is judgmental of anyone or anything
that is outside of the hard-core racing status quo.
The motto you use is Status Quo Blows, but you conform
to a racing status quo and this is not anarchy. Discrimination
on any grounds is intolerable as an anarchist. I
find that the theme here is more totalitarian and
fascist
– if you don’t do it like us your not in
the club sort or idea. Fascist regimes tend to make
constant use of mottos (status quo blows), symbols
(the A with circle thing) and other paraphernalia
(read swag). Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag
symbols on clothing and in public displays (your
latest a d for swag). So “Fascist” should
be put in place of Anarchy in the title. My suggestion
for a new name would then be Sail Racing Fascists.
I think it has a nice ring to it, don’t you?

I would not write in judgment or condemnation of
your pursuit of happiness. I only write you in the
interest of accuracy. Put the new name to a test,
it might be a winner.
