Again
this is courtesy of the seemingly ubiquitous Sportboat, and
again involving an Antrim 27. This one though, helps explain
why we continue to go out and do these things: Because every
now and then you get a lot of breeze and have a lot of fun.
And if you win, for sure you'll do the next ten of them! -

This
weekend we did the Long Beach to Dana Point Race that takes
you from mid channel of Long Breach, up to LA gate, out to
the Oil Islands, and down to Dana Point. The race is about
40 miles.

From the time we reached the gate we took off at 14 knots
on a reach to the Islands and by the time we got down to Dana
Point we were doing 16 knots! We took first in Class and first
Overall in ULDB, beating Shock 40, SC50, Henderson 30, and
a Viper 830 plus more boats.
