Blo Cart

One Design Racing at 30 Knots!

Got yer attention, didn't we? Our newest SA supporter, Class Action Racing, is launching its CARTs time trial series to introduce the sport of blokart sailing in the US. Developed by those outrageous Kiwis down under, blokarts are a fun, fast, compact landsailor that is more like a go-kart with a sail, instead of an engine. The CARTs racing series is set up to promote competition between sailors in different locations by timing the blokart sailors performance over a predetermined track that can be set up virtually anywhere. Top contenders in each division will be invited to compete head to head. blokart sailing is a great family activity with all ages and skill levels invited. To sign up, or get more info, go to www.classactionracing.com.

From its 64 pound all up carrying bag in the trunk of your car, to sailing in 10 minutes; sailors can enjoy an hour of adrenalin packed competition, or an easy wide open beach cruise, and still be home in time for dinner. Your editor had the opportunity to try a blokart a few weeks back and can confirm that these things are a blast. Their unique design and maneuverability allows for intense close quarter one design racing that can resemble an aggressive 50 boat Laser fleet on the starting line over and over again!

With more than 5,000 blokarts actively sailing in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Japan, bringing the excitement to the US makes perfect sense to Class Action Racing. Based in California, Class Action Racing and its current network of dealers stand ready to put together a great day of fun anywhere in the US. All you need to do to experience this excitement is round up a group of your friends or family, pick a sailing spot, and Class Action Racing will show up with karts for everyone to try. Take the challenge, I guarantee you will have no regrets. Email, phone or fax….put your name on the list!

Serious dealer inquiries are welcomed.

Very soon, here’s how I plan on spending some of my afternoon time ….The breeze is filling in, the cell phones start ringing, and in short time - you're at 15 to 35 knots, racing you're rail buddies in an area no bigger than a soccer field. Look up "Apparent Wind"!
