Douche Of The Week Class War? Well looky here! Apparently taking factually incorrect bullshit swipes at Your Faithful Editor and print them on the front page of the J/105 web site now falls under the duties of being the 2006 J/105 Class Secretary/Treasurer. How very interesting! It seems some dim wit named Nelson Weiderman has his panties all in a twist, apparently because I've dared to print some articles that point out a couple of problems in his beloved J/105 class. The horror! Can you imagine - SA actually stirring things up? Shocking. And ol' Nelson, he's mad and well, gosh, he went and did a Google search on me and then wrote what I suppose he fancies as some scathing editorial designed to, what, shut me up? Start a war with me? Make the J/105 members recoil in embarrassment at his lame ass comments? So take a look at what this clown cobbled together to "attack" and "out" me. Not only is much of it flat out wrong, but the rest is little more than some pathetic whimpering from an idiot who has little idea what he is yammering about. While it is fascinating on a couple of levels, my guess is that the J/105 organization probably doesn't want Nelson the Genius to start a war with me, do they? I'm more than happy to oblige should this particular douche make the mistake that a few others have made and choose to keep flapping his lips in my direction. Then it's game on and then it's Good Times! Comments? 05/07/06
Last week that some egg head named Nelson Weiderman decided that it was a good idea to use the J/105 web site to launch some half-assed "attack" at your poor Editor here at the mighty SA? Pitiful Nellie looked quite the stooge in the process, and we understand he has also been looked at unfavorably upon by some of the J/105 powers that be. We of course thought it very poor judgment from a volunteer J/105 Secretary/Treasurer to pull such a weak stunt, but gosh, we're even more surprised that a paid J/105 Secretary/Treasurer would do it. Yes, it turns out that, according to the 2005 J-105 Class Association tax return, Nelson the Genius was paid $16,000.00 to perform his duties. Let's do some math - It seems like a reasonable rate for system maintenance might be $25/hour. That means Nelson the Genius worked over 600 hours on the site, or one-third of an entire working year of 2000 hours. 16 grand? Is that what Class Secretaries get paid? And do they also get paid to write bullshit, inaccurate attack piece editorials? Plus, Nelson the Genius just received the John H. Gardiner II Award from US Sailing for distinguished service and leadership in the promotion of one design sailing and class organization. It seems like Janet B and the bunch form US Sailing weren't aware Nelson the Genius was just an employee doing what he was paid to do. Of course, Ol Nels didn't fess up. Nope, he rented a tux and accepted the award. Fascinating. 05/15/06 |
