West - FINAL DAY
An amazing Acura Key West Race Week comes to a close today. For the first time in history, we've all been able to participate in all the racing from the discomfort of our own miserable prisons. There's no Preview today, because the Key West information is all here already, in the forums. If you want to know which teams are still battling for silverware, what J/109 is so frustrated they want to sell their boat, which Farr 40 team abandoned their curfews in favor of drinking their way to better results, and what it's like to sail a big IRC boat against TP52's, you just have to do what thousands of people already are: Read the reports: (Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4). Of course, you'll want to watch today's coverage on the Day 5 Thread. There are still some great battles on the water, and Premiere Racing's Press Release outline those battles well. Our own SA'ers analyze them more deeply in the threads, so tune in. That's where you'll get the lowdown you're looking for. We want to thank everyone who's contributed to this awesome week's coverage - each day, more and more Anarchists, both long-timers and newbies, have stepped up with news, reports, notes, and insults, and I can't imagine a more fun way to spend a cold week at the office than what we've done here. We all can imagine how to make it better though, and we promise you that we will work our asses off to bring this kind of coverage to SAers in the future, with even more bells and whistles. Remember that this has only been possible because of the community that we've all built together, and it's made us a lot stronger in the process. And we're just gettin' warmed up. In the spirit of the community, let's not forget that SA's Key West coverage is dedicated to the memory of Paul Washburn, and we stand in awe of what his father has done this week to bring joy and excitement to so many people. Wash, you truly rock. There are plenty of others to thank, but we'll get to that on Monday. For now, let's go racing. -Your
