Dalton Quixote

Graham Dalton was forced to divert to Bermuda, where as of April 19 he was tied up in St. Georges. The good folk at Bermuda Harbor Radio kindly supply a web cam for just these types of events, and that camera revealed this morning that Dalton's recent encounter with the front that swept across the eastern United States was far from kind to him. It would appear (from a distance) that his head sail inventory is in complete shreds. A quick call to Ocean Sails, the Doyle loft in Bermuda, confirmed that Dalton has indeed taking a pasting and Steven Hollis, the owner of Ocean Sails, is currently down at the docks to see what he can do to help. For those interested in getting the bird's eye view, go here.

Dalton's quest in this race is personal as much as professional, and he sails in memory of his son. He has soldiered through a series of misfortunes, including most recently the loss of his keel bulb. Hopefully he can overcome this most recent adversity to finish the course, if not the race.
